Tempo runs are hard AF.
Tempo runs at goal pace are one of the most important runs to do to get ready for a time goal race. Come race day your body will naturally fall into that pace. Tempo runs are hard but they are worth it.
I’m not gonna lie and say didn’t stop to catch my breath a bunch of times (and say curse words under my breath 🙂), because I definitely did. It was tough, it was humid, I’m glad I ran it, I’m stronger for it but I’m glad it’s over. Leg strength is on deck.
